Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait one cotton pickin’ moment. When the hell did they do a single arm transplant?? I remember hearing about the woman that got a [tag]robotic arm[/tag], but an actual transplant? That is not the same thing at all.
Now I can certainly see the appeal of getting back arms that were lost, but having the arms of some random dead dude sewed onto my body is just plain freaky. Even if all I had were stumps I just don’t know if I could handle the whole zombie arm thing.
I mean, think about it, these arms, these hands were someone elses, someone dead elses. They touched their first body all over–don’t be a prude, everyone does it!–they touched others intimately and who knows what else?
At least robotic arms aren’t made of other peoples flesh and bone. have you ever heard of cell memory??
That’s the point really, you just don’t know anything about the person. They could be serial killer arms or baby raper arms. Imagine looking down at your hands as they went about their daily doings and realizing that they aren’t even your hands! They’re zombie hands! Honestly, it would scare the crap out of me, maybe I’ve watched too many horror movies or something, but ew!
And I can’t imagine leaving the man I loved for anything. If his face melted off, I’d stick, if he lost all his limbs and was nothing but a lint sucking stump, I’d stick. but [tag]zombie arms[/tag]? Oooh, I dunno about that one.
I think it would be super creepy to have some strangers dead hands, sorry, reanimated hands, trying to get me all hot and bothered. Personally, I think that if you can be turned on by dead [tag]zombie hands[/tag], well, you are one sick f*ck.
I mean, as much as I’d like to accept them as my husbands arms, I don’t know if I could get over that they were dead, dead as door nails. Nope. Ew.
They should definitely make a law if this gets to be common. A person should have to tell someone if they have zombie arms or other body parts when they begin dating. Like realtors have to tell potential home owners if someone got murdered in their pad.
And the double arm, single leg or whatever transplant recipients should be able to learn all about the person they are lending some extended life to.
Sure, just because you read some records doesn’t mean they were a saint, but at least you’d know if they were accused or convicted pedophiles or something. If for no other reason than a little piece of mind.
I think that this [tag]double arm transplant[/tag] is a wonderful thing for the man who can now play with his kids and all that, but I just don’t know if I could do it. He is one brave and determined guy I think.
But hey, after watching your arms get chewed up and spat out by a combine, what are a couple of zombie arms?

This is a great thought provoking post…but let me ask a question. What if it were the arms of a rapist or a thief? Maybe they would finally do something good for society. Just a thought…very good article.

I have mixed feelings just like you do about zombie arms. This man has to feel blessed that he can hug his children without poking them with a robotic hook. At the same time, he has to be at least curious about the history of these zombie arms.
Hard to judge when you’re not in someone else’s shoes.

Show some respect, who care if they were arms from a dead person, least they’re put to good use. That guy probably is happy as hell about his double arm transplant. Wouldn’t u be? who wants to live life with subs? I mean i like to give hugs every now and again
