KING COUNTY, Wash. — Prosecutors here have charged a man accused of trying to sacrifice his live-in girlfriend. Creepy!

Oumar Lam, 31, of Seattle has been charged with assault in the first degree, domestic violence.

Prosecutors said Lam attacked his 26-year-old girlfriend of six months with a kitchen knife when she came home from work on Jan. 25.

According to the statement of probable cause, Lam pounced on his girlfriend while she was changing in the bedroom. Lam, who was stark naked, attacked her from behind, put a pillowcase over her head and covered her mouth.

Lam took a kitchen knife to his girlfriend’s throat and sliced it open, the document states. He then began yelling in another language.

The woman tried to fight him off, but Lam pulled her into the living room and in front of an altar he had set up. He then stabbed her in the chest, lower back and shoulder.

The victim managed to reach her cell phone and call 911, then rushed to the bathroom to rinse off. See, this is where they lose me. She is bleeding from multiple knife wounds, her crazy boyfriend is screaming at her in strange tongues, buck naked, and she goes to the bathroom to rinse off?

Was she worried the blood might stain her clothes or something? I would probably have chosen to run out the front door myself, but I can see not wanting people to see you so messy. Goodness, you might bleed on someone, how rude!

Lam followed and tried to throw her in the bathtub, repeating “Die, die and go alone. You have to go by yourself.”

The woman took his words to mean he was going to kill her “as a part of a sacrifice,” and grew very fearful. She grabbed her coat (Really?? Was she afraid she’d catch a cold?)and ran out the apartment. Okay, so let’s break this down: her boyfriend, naked as a jaybird:

And only then, after all that, she “grew afraid”? WTF?? I would have thought fear would have become a part of this equation at the throwing of the pillowcase, definitely after the throat slashing!

She began yelling for help and knocking on neighbors’ doors. Lam, still naked, caught up with her and dragged her back to the apartment.

Several people who witnessed the scene called 911.

When officers knocked on Lam’s door, Lam began ranting, the document states. The victim, who was using a shirt to apply pressure to her throat, was growing weak and dizzy from blood loss. Still, she managed to dodge Lam’s reach, open the front door and run out.

The woman told investigators Lam was trying to assault her. When officers tried to arrest him, Lam resisted and began speaking in an unknown language.

The victim underwent emergency surgery at Harborview Medical Center. She is expected to recover. When investigators later questioned Lam, he refused to explain what he was trying to do to his girlfriend and why.

Prosecutors plan to request $1 million bail for Lam, whom they describe as an “immeasurable threat of the community.”

Lam has no prior convictions. He will be arraigned on Feb. 11.

Either the writer of the article needs to choose her words better or the victim is a total whack job, maybe even one as crazy as her girlfriend sacrificing ex-boyfriend. Well, I assume ex-boyfriend but who knows?
