I was reading about the beating death of a 16 year old black boy named Derrion Albert. Disgusting crime, several people beating him with 2×4’s, kicking, stomping, vicious vicious hatful crime that I hope they get the death penalty for. No sympathy for them, none at all.
BUT
Then I come across a video of a dude talking about the incedent and he is saying how sick he is of black on black crime. You know what buddy? I’m sick of people like you bitching about black on black crime.
It’s ridiculous. How about being sick of human on human crime. Race, gender, sexual orientation should not be a factor. The fact that we are all people should be what’s important.
Is he trying to say that if it was white people doing the beating and the getting killed, it would be okay? Should I as a white person start taking more offence to crimes that are perpetrated by white people against other white people? Uhhhh no, at least I hope that’s not what he’s saying because that would be utterly ludicrous.
Crime is crime people, violence is violence. How about we just stick to that being bad for everyone. Pay less attention to color and more to the crimes themselves.
